Woohoo! Now go check your email!

One of the last steps in your wedding planning process will be to think of some thoughtful wedding vendor gift ideas. It’s an easy step to overlook, but don’t miss the opportunity to thank the people who helped you get to the finish line. Whether it was the photographer who stayed past the contract time capturing your wild dance moves or the catering company that had to improvise during a last minute power outage. Weddings can be stressful for the hired hands! And even wedding industry professionals like to be appreciated for their hard work. Plus, leaving on a positive note will ensure that you have reliable contacts for future events. Keep reading for a professional wedding planner’s list of wedding vendor gift ideas.

1. A hand-written thank you note & cash/gift card

Take the time to choose a charming thank you card or some personalized stationery and write a heart-felt message of thanks. Nothing beats the sentiment behind some good old-fashioned handwriting. I also recommend including a cash tip if it’s in your budget. 15-20% is usually a fair amount and always appreciated. Alternatively, if you have an idea of what kind of restaurants or coffee shops they like, you could include a gift card with the thank you note. This gives them an excuse to splurge a bit, while also supporting local business.

2. Write a glowing review for your wedding vendor

This is one of the best wedding vendor gift ideas I can think of. A positive review for a business is worth its weight in gold. Honestly, I think it’s even more valuable than cash! While you may not have the funds for a tip, taking the time to write a review will be massively appreciated (speaking from experience). Make sure it is thoughtful, detailed, and accurately reflects their services. The longer the better, as they can use snippets from your review for their client portfolio. Remember, your review could help them bring in more clients, which is an excellent way to thank a small business.

3. Treat them to a luxury service

The providers of services don’t often treat themselves. Working in the wedding industry can be non-stop and very taxing on the body. If you know that a specific vendor would really enjoy a massage, facial, or other luxurious service, then buy them a session. It will help them relax and be ready for their next big client. Just make sure that there isn’t a strict schedule for the gift. The recipient should be able to choose when they go. If they were really great at their job for your wedding, then they could also probably use a little refresh.

4. Pass along their info to family and friends

In a similar vein to writing a review online, you can thank your vendors by spreading the word about their services within your own community. If you were pleased with their work, the people you know will probably also like working with them. Did your best friend just get engaged? Then send your vendors her way! Also don’t forget to tag them in your social media posts. This is an important source of clients for wedding vendors and positive exposure helps them grow their list of potential clients.

Wedding Vendor Gift Ideas

You might have noticed that I didn’t include many physical items on my list of wedding vendor gift ideas. Not that there aren’t plenty of thoughtful gifts out there! But the most valuable gifts for people who work in the wedding industry are those that help their business grow or offer an outlet for relaxation.
