We’re going to see this solidify in the New Year. For my 2025 wedding trend forecast, I’m predicting a variety of playful details, cinematic romance, and daring beauty moments. We’ll see a return to the more delightful aspects of entertainment from bygone eras and also a rise in using technology to elevate the guests’ experience. Bespoke Wedding Gown Boutiques
My first prediction for 2025 wedding trends will be a revamp of the wedding gown boutique industry. While a wedding gown appointment is already a special experience compared to regular shopping, I think we’ll see boutiques invest in making it more memorable for the bride. It’ll be more personalized with a considered aesthetic experience. Since the wedding industry has a lot of competition, this will be a way for wedding gown boutiques to stand out. The lighting in the fitting areas will be soft and flattering with opportunities for editorial style photos. I also imagine more little touches to make it feel like you’re shopping in a luxury environment. After all, it’s one of the most expensive clothing purchases in your life! You’ll see more custom offerings, such as embroidery inside the gown (perhaps your wedding date or a meaningful phrase).
2025 Wedding Trend: Personalized Charms
In 2024, Clairo played softly in the background while the girlies customized their charm necklaces. Charms are here to stay in 2025, and you’ll see them popping up in wedding outfits. Couples will want to incorporate personalized elements into their wedding day and what better way than to commission a meaningful charm necklace. Whether you prefer silver, gold, or mixed metals, there are plenty of jewelry designers who offer heirloom quality pieces. They’re a little touch that you can treasure for years to come. Charms are highly customizable, which means they’ll have broad appeal as a 2025 wedding trend.
Elevated Wedding Tights, Stockings, and Socks
Recently, many brides have been choosing to walk down the aisle in shorter wedding dresses-a really chic look! As the hems grow a bit shorter, it’s also an opportunity to introduce unique bridal hosiery. We will see a lot more stylish options gracing the bridal boutiques. I’m predicting lace-up bridal socks, finely knit stockings, and luminescent tights. Walk down the aisle with elegantly adorned feet!
Silver Accessories
Silver jewelry and tableware have always been wedding day mainstays, but I’m predicting that 2025 brides will also choose to accessorize their outfits with silver leather. Whether it’s a stylishly structured handbag or a sleek block heel, silver leather adds a classically modern touch to a wedding day outfit. It’s also an edgier alternative to sequins or rhinestones for brides who still want a touch of shimmer incorporated in their look.
Pops of Color
While I’ve planned my fair share of gorgeous weddings with white and neutral color palettes, I do also love to incorporate some tasteful color. I predict that strategic pops of color will rise as a major 2025 wedding trend. Cardinal red, Yves Klein blue, and bright citrus hues (among other colors!) will lighten up the ambiance and make for some serious eye candy. Color can also be used to create focal points in your wedding decor. If you’re looking for some inspiration, I recommend watching some Wong Kar Wai movies, as he’s a master of moody romance punctuated with juicy colors.
Bold Wedding Makeup Looks
Beauty has also taken a slightly bolder turn over the past year and this will continue into 2025 wedding makeup looks. A timeless red lip will become more popular and I think brides will even incorporate shimmering shades from eyeshadow palettes. The bridal blush may also see a bit more punchy pigment in the upcoming wedding season.
2025 Wedding Trend: Curated Guest Experiences
As more couples celebrate with multi-day gatherings, curated guest experiences will become a 2025 wedding trend. Photogenic excursions to nearby sites will create a comprehensive backdrop for the wedding weekend. The bridal party might go visit a fashion exhibit at the local art museum. Getting married in a mountain town? Perhaps a guided gold mine tour will be the perfect activity for your weekend of gilded glamour.
Carnivalcore Wedding Decor
My carnivalcore 2025 wedding prediction goes hand in hand with the expected pops of color. Interior design has been seeing an influx of dopamine decor and I think this will trickle into wedding design, in a more subdued and elegant way. Think: deep vintage-inspired colors and dazzling stages with a touch of surrealism, not clowns and chaotic circus animals. Unique wedding performers and using drapes for grand reveals will really transport your guests to a romantic scene. Dusty pink, delicate tassels, and stripes may also make more frequent appearances in the wedding venues.
2025 Wedding Trend: Elegant Drone Shows
While nothing beats real fireworks with the falling sparks and scent of gunpowder, many venues don’t have permits for this. With the improvements in drone technology we’ve been seeing a lot more quiet spectacles lighting up the night skies. There is a ton of room for personalized drone light shows and they can be programmed for a variety of wedding aesthetics, so I predict this will be a big 2025 wedding trend.
Non-Traditional Wedding Desserts
Tiered wedding cakes do make a grand statement, but I don’t think they’re the only dessert that should be considered for a wedding day. More and more couples have been opting for non-traditional wedding desserts. In 2025, we will see wedding bakeries get creative with pastel pastry towers, delicately adorned pies, and more! Perhaps a couple who fell in love in the summertime will hire an ice cream shop to dish out creamy scoops for the guests.
